The “mobile phone for sportsmen” from the Japanese corporation Toshiba was designed mainly for the people who go in for sports. The novelty Toshiba W61T is included in the modeling row of the Japanese mobile network KDDI in 2008 (the approximate time of its appearance is March).

The main feature of the mobile phone for sportsmen Toshiba W61T is the function AU Smart Sports which allows to use the phone for controlling the trainings and pointing out the rhythm.

Toshiba W61T is equipped with the 2,9 inches OLED display (resolution QVGA 240×400 pixels), 3,24 mega pixel CMOS camera, memory card microSD slot (up to 2 Gb). toshiba 820t

Toshiba is getting to release a new GPS phone called Toshiba 820T. Apparently it is only going to hit the Japanese market so far. Toshiba seems to be following the same form factor as with 811T but with 820T they are targeting the young ones - or actually their parents who’d like to know where they are - since this GPS phone also supports a location tracking service. Posted by: rubbi

Posted in: Toshiba

The Toshiba Portégé G710 is a BlackBerryesque device running Windows Mobile 6 and featuring a built-in GPS receiver.

It doesn’t just look a bit like a BlackBerry, the Portégé G710 is aiming at exactly the same market as devices such as the BlackBerry Curve 8310. The Portégé is different though in that it runs Windows Mobile, and it is possible to integrate the device with a Microsoft Exchange server for push email support.

Toshiba G450

Posted by: tanti

Posted in: Toshiba

Toshiba is not a name that we’d readily associate with mobile phones, but then this handset is not really your typical mobile phone. Instead, Toshiba is pitching the G450, which costs around £150 SIM-free, at those who want a HSDPA modem for their PC that has more functionality than the typical mobile broadband USB dongle. Toshiba Portégé G500 and G900

Posted by: epi

Posted in: Toshiba

Toshiba is a familiar name when it comes to laptops, and one that will even be familiar to Mobile Gazette readers for their mobile phones (such as the TS921 and TS605). What’s a little surprising then is that it’s taken so long for Toshiba to put the two together and come up with some smartphones.
But here they are.. the G500 and G900 models bear the Portégé (pronounced port-ay-zhay) that Toshiba uses on its most compact laptops, presumably meaning that Toshiba are pitching the G500 and G900 models primarily as tiny Windows-based devices rather than just souped-up mobile phones.

toshiba.jpgThe Portégé G810 is an intriguing PocketPC offer by Toshiba. If we’re to suggest a reference point for this touchscreen PDA, we couldn’t even dream of a more suitable nominee than the HTC Touch Cruise. A brief look at the specs is enough to convince that the two devices have a great deal of similarities, from physical size to the processor that powers them. In the same time, G810 does stand out among Toshiba PocketPCs, marking a distinct departure from the full-QWERTY Toshiba Portégé G900.The neat and conservative Portégé G810 stands at only 14mm thick and brings a stylish black mirror finish. G810 has an ample 2.8″ 65K-color touchscreen display of QVGA resolution. We can only guess at this stage, but we do believe the display and interface are optimized to ensure stylus-free handling.
